When did you start swimming?
I started swimming when I was around three years old. We had a pool at my house, so my dad taught me how to swim.
When I lived in Australia, I started doing squad around age 8 at my primary school pool. I was pretty new to swimming when I first started competing at age 8.
I only did small school carnivals and things like that. I competed for three different clubs in Australia, which was an awesome experience.
It started getting serious when I moved to New Zealand, age 12.
What do you do for fun?
Surprisingly swimming is fun for me, but I also love surf club. I mainly compete in the swimming events such as the surf swim and the run swim run.
I am also super interested in health and cooking. I like to cook new things and try to have a balanced diet. In general, I just love to be active and play different sports such as volleyball.
Who is and are your role models?
I have so many role models, but I think mainly it would have to be the people I train with.
They are all so dedicated and talented people. I learn so much of them and they push me to do my best in trainings.
Two other big role models of mine would have to be Cate Campbell and Ariarna Titmus. Cate Campbell has been one of my role models since I started swimming. I had a big poster on the wall and my dream was to go to the Olympics just like her.
Obviously, she is more of a sprinter and I am not, but I still look up to her till this day. Ariarne Titmus is world champion in the 400 freestyle. She is so humble and young. It’s incredible and inspiring.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone wanting to start swimming?
I haven’t been swimming competitively for long, but I have already experienced how the journey is hard.
One week you are absolutely firing at training and the next you are missing your times and you get down on yourself. You just have to be super mentally tough and remember why you are swimming.
Swimming is a sport that takes a lot of dedication and hard work, in and out of the pool. It’s all worth it though when you achieve that one race or time you have been gunning for a long time.
If you won a million dollars what would you spend it on?
Well of course I would have to give some to my mum and dad. They are my biggest support and never fail to let my dreams come to life, no matter how hard it may be.
For myself I defiantly would go on a big online shopping spree and then leave the rest in a savings account for an awesome house when I get older.

When did you start playing golf?
I started playing golf as a full member just before I turned 9. I joined the Manukorihi golf club with my dad.
I am also a member at Ngamotu, but I actually played my 1st ever round of golf just before my 3rd birthday at Waitara where I shot 157, off the yellow tees
What is your biggest achievement?
My biggest achievement to date is hard to pick , but I’m gonna say winning the Taranaki Intermediate Strokeplay champs at Stratford as an 11yr old in a full adult field. This is a competition where all the club champs from every club compete against each other.
I’ve had lots of massive achievements too along side this , like qualifying for the World Jnrs in California last year, youngest ever to be selected for a Taranaki interprovincial team, there’s lots.
What do you do for fun?
Well my fun is my golf , thats how much I love this game.
When I need to be serious about it, its all business, but I also know how to have fun with it but still staying on point.
I play around with lots of chipping, and putting games at home, its great fun.
Playing and achieving goals on the course like flushing the ball, knocking it next to the hole is also great fun.
Who are your role models?
My number one role model is my dad, he is amazing. He has always made sure I get the best possible opportunities to be the best I can.
He keeps me focused both on and off the course , I love it when he’s on my bag. Then there is Mr Mcilroy, yes Rory. I think he is just great he launchers the ball into outer space. I would love to be on the tee with him one day
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone wanting to start playing golf?
Make sure you can have fun , as it is a-lot of hard work depending on where you want to take it, stay committed, listen to those that want to have input, strong grip, keep the head down, hold the finish.
If you won 1 million dollars, what would you spend it on?
I would buy me a mean as car , and donate some money back to my local golf clubs.
